Pawpurrazzi Raises $500,000 for the Humane Society of Greater Miami

One week ago at Jungle Isle..... Pawpurrazzi, Friday, January 22 at 7 p.m. where the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet hosted an evening of one-of-a-kind entertainment, music, food and fashion that brought in over $500,000 and the adoption of 5 dogs at the event that night.

Chaired by Milton and Pat Wallace with their pets, Hanna and Chloe, this glamorous and fun event highlighted the community's most committed pet owners and the dogs that walk with them.

All four-legged guests will enjoy pampering, doggie make-overs, a gourmet buffet and an ice cream bar.  And if 'nature calls', patches of grass were laid down on the terrace for the dogs.

The highlight of the evening was the "Great Pets Who Walk In Front of Great People" show where select guests and their dog(s) were featured on the runway.  And also to recognize the other four legged friends that benefit at the Humane Society was a special treat this year was a scene from - what else? - CATS! - performed by the University of Miami Theatre Arts Department. (Actual cats were not allowed at the event to discourage any dogs chasing after them.)

The Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet is a limited admit, adoption guarantee facility dedicated to placing every dog and cat in our care into a loving home, and to promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs.  Take a ride out there to visit, adopt, volunteer or donate.
